How can I install a standalone executable and create a start menu entry?
Hi...
*copy the executable file into that bottle's drive_c directory...
..then create a launcher for that executable... see;

Cheers!
Thanks!
Just a side note. When I try to install Windows Software from the menu, provide it with an executable installer file and ask it to use a new bottle, it does not work. I had to manually create a new bottle, then go back to Install Windows Software, select the executable, select the newly created bottle and then it works. This is with Crossover XI Mac. I thought this was just an aberration until I tried it twice. It behaved the same way.
in the years i have been using crossover, i have never "installed" programs that are standalone executables. i guess i have never really cared about start menu items. basically, i have a folder, labeled crossover stuff, in my home folder, and i just create sub folders in that with all of the window programs that i try out... it seems easier to do that, it keeps the start menu cleaner, and no worries about how to uninstall anything. just open the folder, double click the exe, and away you go.
