Hi, just installed Dundeon Keeper 2 using Crossover XI Mac and DMCA. The game runs but only if I enable virtual desktop With this the game runs fine but its in a small window. If I don't use virtual desktop the program runs but all the screen is corrupt and I cant play the game.
Does anyone have a work around for this ? I'm using a mid2011 iMac with lion 10.7.4
Nothing in your DMCA notice relates to what I posted, I simply told you how I got it going, I posted no Link nor told anyone where to obtain such. Sledge Hammer on a nut - nuff said....

May I kindly direct your attention to "The Fine Print:"
I am simply asking you to follow the same items we ask everyone else to follow.
To answer your question... Dungeon Keeper 2 uses SafeDisc which is currently unsupported at this time. Some people have had success contacting the developer(s) of games like this and requesting a copy freed of the drm protection.
Others have success using a version of the game from a place like "Good Old Games" and what do you know? They have it:
If I were to buy is version - would it fun full screen or would it be essentially what I have now ? My feelings are it would be and play exactly as I have now without safe disc. The problem is not that the game wont run, its the fact that it will only run in a virtual desktop configuration and thus plays in a window (and a small one at that). I hope that you will see that this is a different issue than the one you picked up on originally.

Alright, let's come back to the original issue. You are correct, I skimmed that part and went for the part we were liable for, my apologies.
When you enable virtual desktop, are you leaving it at the default setting that CrossOver starts out with? The first thing I'd try to do is adjust it up to see if you can gain a higher screen size? My "favorite" size is 1440x900 but the game might not be happy with that... maybe 1024 x 768? The key to getting it running at a decent size without screen corruption is likely in finding a value that the game developers intended for it to run at. Since Dungeon Keeper 2 is an older game, a "not widescreen" resolution would have better luck.
I do have a request in to pick up this title. It's on special right now from GOG.com for $3... if it doesn't get approved, I'll pick it up (I'd just prefer it be in our testing arsenal instead of in my possession).
Finally, my apologies for the delay in response. I've been busy working with Diablo III... not that that's an excuse, it is just where my time has gone for the last few days and likely will delay further responses from me for a few more days.
I Just tried the GOG.com version and it unfortunately suffers from the same problem in fullscreen mode. This looks similar to numerous other games that I've seen having this issue (StarCraft for example). As with this game, I really don't know of any workaround to resolve this issue.
It would really be great if the CodeWeavers staff could take a closer look at these reported fullscreen issues as they plague various titles.

Um... problem. And this is the worst kind of problem for me to have... but "it works for me". It's very stretched... but that's because of my widescreen.
I do see it resetting my teeny 1024x768 screen to an even smaller 640x480 size if I run it in an 'emulated desktop'... but in full screen it's playable for me.
Can I get a screen shot of the graphic trouble? Preferably on a ticket that also talks about the OS, OS version, graphics card, etc.

And upon taking a screenshot of my own system things get really interesting. I've cc'd you on a bug in our system... it's very similar to the one I filed for Starcraft during our last beta but it'll be more detailed. Any titles you know of that have this trouble should be added to that bug.
Any word on this issue? I'm on a Mid-2007 iMac (first aluminum ones) with dedicated ATI Radeon 2600 PRO 256MB VRAM.
I have this full-screen issue with the GOG.com version of DK2, as well as other apps I've installed lately from GOG, including Tropico Reloaded. I get a weird slow-motion scanline-like action going in full-screen, but running in emulated desktop works fine (but not what I had in mind for running the games). Using a WinXP bottle to install into.
Running 10.7.4, installed all updates available as of today.
EDIT: Forgot to say, running CrossOver Mac 11.2
EDIT2: Just installed GOG.com's Baldur's Gate II, same issue.
