Running a 3D game with 16bit color

Hi, I want to play the emperor's new groove on my MacBook Pro 2010.
It installs fine, and everything is in order. But when I try to launch the game, the screen just show up all messed up (see image)
I think it is a general error related to simulating 16 bit color in 3D. I get some what the same error on Wine and parallels.
The game does work on my PC with Windows 7.

Thanks in advance!
