I'm playing WoW WotLK and I'm having some freezing issues. I run mandriva, have a nvidia gtx 285, I play in windowed mode but have also tried fullscreen. It seems to occur most often is certain zones, Felwood, Nagrand, and now Bladesedge. Its been happening since before the latest patch. When the freeze happens it is usually accompanied by an audio glitch and the entire system locks up, usually the mouse can still be moved on screen. The freezing usually lasts less than 20 seconds, but sometimes lasts so long that I just reboot the computer. It seems to be completely random during game play. I have the latest drivers from nvidia and the newest version of crossover games. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
Could this not just be a problem with WoW in general, not a problem with crossover? Have you tried talking about it on the WoW forums and seeing if others who play WoW have the same issue(s)?
