what is the best way to install games? I am currently just downloading game launchers (such as Steam, EA App, Ubisoft etc) and then just downloading games within steam, ea app etc.
If I Do this and activate D3DMetal on the steam bottle, would that then use D3DMetal on every game I download into steam, or should I be creating a separate bottle for each game?
The only problem I have with that is my games are all over the place, for example Titanfall 2 and some other games are on EA App where as crossover will want to install it over steam.
is there any way manually install it so it uses EA app instead of steam and still install all the dependencies?

Always try the Crosstie first. If the Crosstie tells you it is going to install the game using some intermediary app that is not associated with your ownership of that specific game (such as if the Crosstie is going to do the install with Steam but you own it through GOG), then do the following:
1- Create a Windows 10 64-bit bottle.
2- Install DirectX for Modern Games into that bottle.
3- Install your required intermediary app into that bottle, if required.
4- Use the intermediary app you installed in (3) to install the game you want. If no intermediary app is required (such as games from GOG using their “offline backup installers”) then just install the game.
5- Now you are going to have to find out what specific dependencies and bottle settings are required for your game to work best, or at all. Maybe it will just work! If not, you can check the game’s compatibility page here on the Codeweavers website and if you can’t find anything you can ask other people who use Crossover to run that game for assistance in that game’s own forum here on the Codeweavers website.
One game (or one intermediary app plus one game) per bottle, so that each bottle can be best configured for that one game.
2- Install DirectX for Modern Games into that bottle.
How do you do it?
All you need to do is click the INSTALL button in the lower-left corner of the Crossover window and then type DIRECTX FOR MODERN GAMES, then follow the prompts to get it into the correct bottle.
