CrossOver Support - Community Forums

Hi everyone,

As of today, Age of Empires II HD won't launch at all on Steam via Crossover. I uninstalled the game, reinstalled it, repaired possibly damaged files, uninstalled all add-ons, and still, it won't work. Originally, I began having problems as the game was lagging horribly, and the background music was "stuttering" as well. Other Steam games are working fine; it's simply AoE.

My MacBook specs are:

macOS Catalina (10.15.7)

MacBook Pro (13", Mid 2012)

2.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5

4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536MB

Any advice to amend this? I want to remark that I'm no technology expert at all, so I would be grateful if everything could be explained easily. I hope you can understand.
