I recently bought Battlefield V on Steam after seeing several videos of it running on M1 Max chips in Crossover/GPTK, and I managed to get it running too at first (both DirectX 11 and 12. it launched in D3D11 by default) but then it just stopped booting, seemingly out of nowhere.
Nothing changed afaik (no updates or changes in surrounding environment) but the game just stopped working for no apparent reason. I tried deleting the bottle, uninstalling (and extensively deleting every and all files and references) and reinstalling Crossover (both 23.7 and 23.6 respectively) and Steam + EA App + BFV without any luck. I even tried every combo of settings I could think of (D3D on/off, DXVK on/off, Esync, Msync etc.) but I just can't get it running again.
I'm using a 14" MPB M1 Max 32c/64GB on macOS Sonoma (14.1.1) and the game booted just fine until last night.
Anyone know if EA or Steam changed something recently that could have made this happen? Thanks!
