I have an application I'm trying to install in a Win 7 32bit bottle and I immediately get an error window with the following text: Please re-run this installer as a normal user instead of "Run as Administrator". I see no way to do this in Crossover.
I found an old Crossover thread with this same question and there was no resolution. That thread is now locked so I thought I'd start a new one.
Ubuntu 18.04
Crossover 19.0.0
App: Temple+ mod for Temple of Elemental Evil.
Hi foobrew
Crossover does not have a setting to choice run as administrator or normal user. Crossover will always run as administrator.
I known it exists out of three patch to add this behavior for Wine ( never test it in wine with those patches).
I hope Wine will implement it for Wine soon, then it mabe come to Crossover. Crossover is base on Wine.
Just a thought looking at that mods site. Have you tried using a Win 10 bottle? I see a few reviews praising the mod dev they can finally use win10.
