CrossOver Support - Community Forums

I bought an upgrade to Forte Agent, and tried to run it with Crossover.

I got the following message:

CrossOver cannot run because a required
system component, X11, is not installed.

Please install the X11 application using the Optional
Installs package on your Mac OS X install disc, then
click Check Again.

So I got out my memory card and looked for that installs package. I didn't see it, but I found X11redirect.pkg and installed that. Three times, with reboots. Nope, that didn't help. I booted to the memory card, and didn't see any way to install the optional installs. I'm surprised I didn't have them before.

What is my next step?

What version of CrossOver are you running, and on what version of OS X?

I gave up and Googled to find XQuartz.

I installed it and rebooted:

At first, I told it to run the exe using CrossOver, and it gave me a window saying it needed to upgrade. A couple of tries later, I went withing Crossover and told it to run the installation .exe from there and it worked.

I have Crossover Professional Version 12.1 (12.1.0.26815) and OSX 10.8.2.
