steam and mac games serial etc

hi i was wondering about something

i own 2 games

sniper elite and sniper elite v2 last one is a dvd edition genuine

the other older version sniper elite is a steam version
but i also have a disk copy. ersion when it was not on steam yet

But both games are activated on steam on the windows side
and installed on my windows pc
i also can acces steam with the same user name om my mac
sofare haven,t found a game there that works fine
just platform stuff that does are not my games favs

im thinking of installing sniper elite over to my mac
just to test it and to see if it runs
but how do i go about that ?
i can offcourse delete the game on the windows side
How does the steam account under codeweaver react to this ?

sniper elite can only be installed under windows

Do you need another user name F.i ?

can/does it screw up my account ? and game serialnumbers)

I honestly don't know what Steam's policy is about using the same account on multiple PC's. That's essentially what you're trying to by installing Sniper in Steam-via-Crossover, if it's already installed on your Windows PC. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to delete the local games files on the Windows PC, just to be safe, prior to running the install in Steam-via-Crossover, but this is really more a question for the Steam forums, I'm not sure what the threshold is for "too many active computers on an account".

Being a Steam user on multiple computers, I can say that you can only access your account from one computer at a time. So only one copy of any game can run at a time. So Steam is fine on more than one computer, as long as only one person accesses the account at any time. Valve has never complained about my multiple installs.

I should state that I haven't fully read the user agreement, it's just my experience as a user.
