CrossOver Support - Community Forums

Please HELP. I have downloaded codeweavers in order to run the “tell me more” language learning program, is very old and requires windows 95/98/NT4 or 2000. When I try to install I receive the following-
“a newer version of DCOM95 or DCOM98 had been installed, to override, you must uninstall the current version first”
any assistance would be greatly appreciated

i know this is in the wrong place but i couldn't find where to go, i think im using crossover to run metatrader 4 on my mac , but in the top left corner of my mt4 screen there is still a small wine glass logo , does thi mean its running through wine and not crossover ? can anyone help ??

If you have where we can download the program to test, but try installing dcom98 in a win98 bottle. Use the wizzard to install it.

CrossOver is based on wine so the icon doesn't mean any strange behavior at all. Also in Mac if you explicitly did not install wine it won't run with wine due to wine is not installed by default on Mac.

You can always create a new thread in the Suppport->Forums->General option in the web page.
