Yes it is
I had Crossover working "sort of" with MS Publisher 2007 with 11.1. I installed 12 and now I can't get anything working. I tried deleting 12 and re-installing 11 (had to get 11.0). It installed but Publisher crashes when I try to create a new document or open an old one. Can you tell me how to revert to 11.1 or get 12 to work with my Publisher 2007? Publisher is the only reason I have Crossover.
Thanks,
Ed
On this forum, I'm seeing a number of installation and application compatibility issues with Crossover 12. Are these "bugs" being fixed? Would it be safer to wait for Crossover 12.1?
Hello Ed,
Why you can't install crossover 11.1? You can find it in the download section there is a tab that says archived versions, there you can download 11.1, also you can test, 11.3. Try to post in the compatibility page of the application with more detail so the advocate in charge of this application can help you better

Carlos
Well Henry upgrade in a safe mode. First archive all your bottles. Then upgrade or uninstall and then install. If anything goes wrong deinstall 12 install 11 and restore the bottles.
The bugs are being fixed
It works fairly well with 0.8.2; however, I'm noticing quite a bit of high CPU utilization on the server. I've posted about, but no answers yet.

Henry, in answer to your question in general: yes, any time we send a new release out into the world, there are always things that need cleaning up. Frankly, having it out in the wild is a good way to encounter issues that we'd never be able to find in our own QA efforts. So, we are working on a number of 12-related issues, but no ETA yet on when a new point release is coming. Basically, we'll ship a point release as soon as we feel comfortable 1) that we've identified the issues that are affecting the biggest segment of our users, and 2) that we're moving the ball forward in a careful, tested fashion. Thanks for your patience.

Hi,
I have the 11.3.0.26287 version, running in OS X 10.6.8, MacPro5,1.
It reported that a new version is available, so I clicked OK to install it (version 12). The updater was apparently downloaded & extracted fine,
but an error message says that it cannot move the old version to trash (even though the old version is indeed moved to trash)
and the installation failed, leaving a 0-byte app in the Applications folder.
I moved the trashed 11.3.0.26287 version to the desktop, and launched it to try to download & install again:
Same thing happened: all seems fine until "can't move to trash" error pops up.
I wasn't paying attention to the time when I tried the above, so I'm not sure the following is relevant,
but Console messages included many instances of:
[0x0-0xde2de2].com.codeweavers.CrossOver[41063]...<Error>: kCGErrorIllegalArgument: CGSSetWindowProperty: Invalid window 0x453
[0x0-0xde2de2].com.codeweavers.CrossOver[41063]...<Error>: kCGErrorIllegalArgument: CGSAddWindowToWindowOrderingGroup: error setting window property
[0x0-0xde2de2].com.codeweavers.CrossOver[41063]...<Error>: kCGErrorIllegalArgument: _CGSFindSharedWindow: WID 1101
The only difference between each set of 3 error messages is the invalid window hex number: 0xNNN, where NNN is anything from 3d4 to 4a5
Any ideas?
Thanks

There is a bug in the updater on 10.6.8, which we expect to have fixed in our 12.0.1 releaes due out soon.
The easiest thing to do if you want to run 12 on 10.6.8 is simply to throw 11.3.0 in the trash and download 12 from our web-site.
