Hi,
since some year, I tried the CrossOver again to run some Windows games on my Mac (iMac 27, Mid 2010, OS X 10.8.5) and try to install Steam.
But the standard CrossTie for Steam fails to load Steam installation .msi file. Ok, download Steam installer manually and choose this installer from CrossOver.
Steam is installed but crashes every time right after the Steam login screen.
Tried with CrossOver 12.5.3.
A steam update which was released well after 12.5.3 caused steam to become incompatible with older versions of CrossOver. We shipped a fix, but you will need to download the latest CrossOver trial from the web-site (13.0.1) to get Steam working, I believe.
