crossover not showing mac driver option. Ver 13 trial

Hi all, my names nate, and I'm a new crossover user. I'm trying to get sins of a solar empire: rebellion to work, and have read that it does work, however it also says that I need to enable the experimental mac driver. Well, I have gone to the configure bottles menu and then gone to advanced, but there is NO option that says "enable experimental mac driver." I am using the trial version to make sure that its a good enough program, but it doesnt say anything about there being less features, only that it only works for 14 days. any help would be much appreciated!

In modern versions of CrossOver, the "mac driver" is enabled by default. Because it is now the default, the option to enable it has been replaced with an option to enable X11 - which is old default - thereby disabling the Mac Driver. If you are using a version which has a checkbox permitting you to enable the Legacy X Window System, you do not need to do anything to enable the Mac Driver: leave that 'Legacy X Window System' checkbox unchecked (as it should be by default), and the Mac Driver will remain enabled.

well crap. then it just doesnt work.

Yeah, in same boat.. even with disabling Mac Driver, my game no longer works.. My understanding is they are working on several issues still. You should probably submit a ticket, I did.. My ticket is now at 'known bug' status and hoping they are able to get to it. Hopefully as patches come out we'll see some things we used to use start working. <crosses fingers> :)

The other big change in 13 is the performance enhanced graphics. You could try to disable that and see if it fixes your games.
