I'm trying to download and run crystal ball for excel. I've successfully used crossover for other microsoft products but i'm struggling with this one. I have Excel for Mac 2011 which is currently version 14.4.1. When I try to run crystal ball it goes through the installation steps but says I need microsoft framework 4x.
Is there a problem because I have a microsoft office version that runs without using crossover?
Unfortunately, you are correct. Oracle's Crystal Ball was designed for the Windows version of Excel, and CrossOver is (unfortunately) unable to tell Crystal Ball how to work on the Mac OS X version of Crystal Ball instead of the Windows version.
You are going to want to run Crystal Ball and the Windows version of Excel in the same bottle. Additionally, "Microsoft Framework 4x" is likely a way of saying ".NET Framework 4.x", which you will want to install in the same bottle.
Hopefully everything works out, let us know if it doesn't.
Best,
~Nolan
