Hi all i want to know where there is a new version of a windows app how to update the previous app so that all app settings are kept. such as happens when you update the app in native windows. atm each time i update i am creaing a new bittle an app for each new version but this creates probems and i have to redownload all addons for teh app etc each time.
Back-up the bottle where the initial install was done (use the Make Archive button from the Advanced tab, in the bottle manager), then run the installer for the new version in the same bottle.
I am trying , but MY FRUSTRATION IS THROUGH THE ROOF. EVERYTIME I TRY TO OPEN SOMETHING TO RUN. IT GOES TO INSTALL. ANYONE WANNA MAKE A 25$ WAL MART CARD JUUST GET THIS THING A RUNNING>
Even if it goes to "install" you still get the option to pick a bottle. Click on the button where CX suggests the bottle name and pick the one in which you want to perform the upgrade.
