Ultra Nav

Anyone have any tips for getting Ultra Nav to run. I know i have all the files but i keep getting a command returned 53 error code. This program definitely works with crossover because a few other people at work are running it on their macs with crossover. I've tried installing with the run command and going through the installing unsupported other application with no luck. I feel like i may be missing something simple.

Since those guys don't offer a demo I'll have to ask you a few things:

) Did you manage to get the program to install (a.i. did it manage to copy its files)?
) Do they list anything in the system requirements that hints at a redistributable package like the .NET or Visual C++ runtimes?

If you got it installed you can generate a debug log, put its contents up on pastebin.com, link it here and I'll take a look.

And an offtopic comment. Holy jumping jelly beans, their site is a mess. You'd think that a company that charges between 420$ and 840$ / license could afford something that does not give people eye cancer when reading and searching for info.

Update: I managed to find some demos on the same site and they appear to work fine with no need to add anything to bottles. Granted, I'm using Linux but I don't think it matters in this case. The application looks basic enough.

Here is the debug log, as far as i can tell it says that the installation completed and i can see a bunch of files in the bottle. There is no created icon to open it and no option to run installed software. Still not sure what i am missing.

Hi,

If I'm reading that log right, there should now be a bottle called "G_200.exe". Open up the bottle manager, select that bottle and you should see on the right side a Run Command button. If the installer for the fully licensed program behaves like the one for the demos then the executable(s) you are looking for should be in C:\Ultranav or a subfolder.

If you can run this program from there, then you can tell crossover to create a shortcut to it. There is an option for that in the same window that allows you to browse for the file that you're trying to run.

Please Note: This Forum is for non-application specific questions relating to installation/configuration of CrossOver. All application-specific posts to this Forum will be moved to their appropriate Compatibility Center Forum.
