I am trying to get bottles to run from an external drive. I followed the instructions here:

and changed the bottle directory to a folder on an external drive. When I launched Crossover, I could no longer do anything - all menu items are grayed out. I uninstalled (including the files in Application Support and Preferences) and reinstalled, and am getting the same behavior.
Any ideas?
