I'm on Ventura 13.4 and the latest Crossover Stable (not modified) and I have two problems with Crossover
Sound output cannot be changed once the game has loaded. If I started to load a game, then connect my airpods, all other audio will switch to the airpods but not Crossover. In fact, while a game was running, I was no longer able to adjust the volume and muting my Mac would not mute the game either. The game was Ghost Sniper Contracts 2 if that matters but it's the same with other games. Is there a way to setup crossover so that it follows the sound output of the computer?
When I play Borderlands 3 from the Epic store (not via Crossover), I can use the 3 finger swipe gesture on the trackpad to go in/out of the game. It's smooth and works very well. When it's a Crossover game though, the gestures don't work anymore. I have to use Alt-Tab instead. Not a big issue but is there a way to allow trackpad gestures within Crossover?
Hi. Regarding #1, I’m not sure if this is related, but are you running the game through Steam? I have the same issue (switching sound output not working) on my PC. So in my case it was a Steam / game issue, not CrossOver.
It might be Borderlands 3 actually as I have noticed it does cause sound glitches (even the native version does when I have USB headsets) so yeah, could be specific to that game. Thank you
Your second issue is that the wine wrapper for the program is not passing the fullscreen attribute to the operating system. The reason the game without crossover does this is because it is probably a native game.
You can attempt a work around of making your game screen being windowed, and by that I mean actually windowed not windowed without boarders. You can then try using the green button on the title bar to push the screen into a new space as fullscreen.
I don't have the game you're trying so the only testing I was able to do was try a random steam game I had, and I'll note I'm using the beta for Sonoma.
+1 For Issue #1 which according to CW staff is an expected behaviour (you need to restart wine to switch audio), so I'd do a feature request: dynamic audio switch as a new feature.
