Overall, this works - yay.
But when I doubleclick the .QDF file to launch crossover/quicken 2015, it fails with a crossover window declaring "File Not Found".
When I open crossover, open Quicken 2015, and load the file with "file open" - it works.
Any thoughts on what the "File Not Found" is all about?
The Mac OS probably doesn't associate the .qdf file with Quicken 2015 in Crossover. Get Info on the .qdf and under the Open With section select Quicken 2015 and Change All to set it system wide.
