I originally posted this in the LOTRO forum, but it appears that it's not a LOTRO issue.
The problem I'm having is that if I use any shifted symbol (number keys, colon, quote, etc), the shift key gets "hung". I can do capitalized letters, but symbols lock me into typing everything capitalized/shifted. This is quite annoying when you're your trying to talk in-game, but it also affects other apps run later in the same CXG session (which means logins fail for games).
I am aware of an issue with CrossOver that's triggered by certain keyboards. So far, it's been Logitech keyboards.
There is a genuine bug in CrossOver, that will be fixed in CrossOver 10, but it's triggered because the keyboard driver sends a very odd sequence of events when you press the Shift key.
It's possible that the Shift key on the opposite side (left vs. right) of the keyboard won't have the same problem.

Of course, it's Logitech keyboards...because that's what I have... :)
I'll try using the opposite side and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for the heads-up.
EDIT: Ok, so using the opposite shift key doesn't make a difference. Still get the same shift hang. For the record, I'm using a Logitech Wave keyboard on a 2010 Mac Mini running 10.6.5.
