This is a little Zombie Killing game I picked up on Steam. On initial install, it mentioned that there was no WMP library, and to install game, so I went and downloaded regular Crossover to get WMP as had been suggested before for a different game, only to discover that the bottles from Crossover and Crossover Games are not compatible.
I went to [http://download.cnet.com/Windows-Media-Player-Windows-XP/3000-2139_4-10180881.html]this Cnet site[/ur] and got the WMP 9 setup for my Games XP bottle, and installed it. This game then launched, played the opening movie, and even got to the main menu. I am able to mouse over all of the menu options, even bring up the game options 'o' but nothing is clickable using either my Cyborg RAT 7 or my Razer Salmosa mouse. If this get fixed, I would assume the rest of the game would work fine.
Hi,
Try grabbing a native dinput8.dll and copying that into your bottle's
drive_c/windows/system32 directory, and then set a library override (in
the Wine Configuration GUI) for dinput8 = native ...be worth a try...
Didn't work for this game, but it worked for Fallout New Vegas, which forced he mouse down constantly, also did the same thing in Mafia, will have to try that next.
I'm not sure what you meant by native, but I started my Parallels/W7 and took that file from there, then placed it in the same spot in my XP bottle. I saw the place in the configurator to make it native, but could not find the dinput8.dll listed, so I left it alone. Either way, with Fallout working, i'm happy.
Edit: Too quick on that one :)
I was using the game-set resolution, which was showing the dock/menubar and it worked fine, when I switched it, it went back to pointing down constantly.
