Hi there,
I doubt it would work with CrossOver. Our current released version is based on Wine 5.0, and our upcoming release of CrossOver 21 is based on Wine 6.0, both of which are older than the Wine version recommended. Furthermore, CrossOver does not include all of the Wine Staging patches, and it's possible some of those are required. Beyond those problems, I'm guessing there would need to be some other configuration needed due to differences between CrossOver and Wine. Your best bet is to use Wine Staging as recommended.
