I installed Office 2003 and another program called Endnote 7. For Endnote 7 to work with Word 2003, I had to put a couple of files in the Word startup folder - they seem to be some kind of macros... Now whenever I start Word, it gets stuck and I have to kill the program. Word gets stuck 'Running virus scan...' as per the status bar at the bottom of the window. Word works fine as long as I do not put those two Endnote files in its startup folder. Is there a way to prevent Word from running a virus scan? I brought down the macros security in word to 'Low' and I do not have any anti virus program installed on my computer (it is running Ubuntu Hardy).
