I want to have 2 executing instances an application running.
I can make this happen in Cross Over Mac by selecting my bottle, launching task manager, and then launching the application twice.
I'd like to do this from the application launch window, but the double click of my application icon just brings my first launched application window to top window state.
Any ideas on how to do this in an easier (than using task manager) manner?
You could have 2 bottles each with the same application installed and run them that way. You can even duplicate your current bottle so that you don't need to reinstall the app.
Open Crossover and click the Bottles button in the top left. Then right click the bottle and choose the Duplicate option.
Also the "run command" window can launch multiple instances. Unfortunately the MacOS launchers cannot do that, the OSX GUI is designed to run only one program instance ever.
Also note that some Windows programs detect an already running instance and e.g. instruct it to open a new document window instead of launching again. If this is the case two bottles are your only option.
