e.g. starting EXCEL from shell command line (using a shell script in my $CX_ROOT/bin as everytime):
1.) Unix prompt $
2.) $ excel <ENTER>
3.) Excel's splash screen pops up (ok)
4.) Excel's main frame pops up (ok)
5.) after a half sec all disappears from screen (????)
6.) the excel-shell script remains running (no Unix prompt)
7.) using an other shell:
command ps -ef:
there are running 2 processes
We don't back-test old versions of Crossover with newer versions of desktop environments, so it's entirely possible that CX Office 4.1 is incompatible with KDE 4.2. Our recommendations would be to either stick with the latest version of KDE that suits your needs and works with Crossover, or update to a newer version of Crossover.
