Hi all,
I know I should put in a ticket, but I'm using the Lameduck version, and as such have not purchased a copy (which is a requirement for using the ticket system, I gather). Unfortunately, I have had no luck with my copy of Crossover Linux Pro - I haven't been able to install any windows apps, and thus, am in no position to evaluate nor even consider purchasing a license. Hopefully, someone can help me out...
Ubuntu 8.10 (fresh install), Crossover Linux Pro, 7.1.0, Athlon64, 7600GT (driver ver 180.25).
Any time I try creating a bottle, "rundll32.exe.so" will take up pretty much all my cpu but do absolutely nothing. I've waited about a half an hour or so on more than one occasion, but it seems hung. The only other case I've found in the ticket system does not apply to me (a font problem on a Mac?) so I'm at a loss. Initial installation went off without a hitch, if that makes any difference.
I think this might be from your TCL libraries being PowerPC on an Intel machine. Could have happened if your old System was migrated to a newer computer. Best thing to try would be an archive & install of Mac OS X which would give you all the libraries specific to your computer type.
Sorry, but I have never used OSX on this box - I'm on an Athlon64/x86_64 computer with a fresh install (no migration).
Actually, the problem seems to have gone away with a kernel upgrade. Thanks for your efforts, Andrew.
