ive been wondering if you need windows os on your hard drive to use crossover to play wow. ive been using windows for to long and really interested in ubuntu and really want to get rid of windows but not sure if i can. i would really appreciate the help:) thanks
I do not play WoW, but that is EXACTLY what crossover is intended to do, provide its users freedom from Windows, but still allow them to have access to their favorite Windows apps.
I am currently running Team Fortress 2 and Half Life 2 with great success on my Ubuntu 8.04 PC, and hopefully will be able to run Left 4 Dead soon! This is entirely without Windows installed. There are most likely others on the board who can answer your WoW related questions more accurately than I can. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

No you don't need windows installed. That is the point of crossover.
