on v24 my bottles are just scanning, i've had them going for 1 hour and they're not done yet.
Probably related to z-drive mapping. Quit out of Crossover then run this Terminal command for each of your bottles:
ln -s / ~/Library/Application\ Support/CrossOver/Bottles/BOTTLENAME/dosdevices/z:
Change BOTTLENAME to the name of one of your bottles.
After running that Terminal command for each of your bottles, the next time you run Crossover the scanning should complete quickly.
Some people have reported that the only way they could repair this issue was to delete their bottles and create new ones. Try that Terminal command for each of your bottles first.
it gives me an error of "zsh: command not found: -s"
I re-assigned the Z-drive using the wine-configuration options ("drives") and removed some automatically shared volumes as well, after that, scanning was done in about 5 secs.
While this worked for a while I noticed after restarting my Mac the volumes I previously removed are mounted again for all my bottles (the Z-drive remapping stayed intact though) and scanning is taking 15 mins or longer again...
Is there any permanent solution to disable auto-mounting of volumes as drives? It is also a major security-concern...
