Im trying to play Elden Ring with a Switch Pro Controller (I know an Xbox Controller should be used but I don't have one) and the controller will not pick up in the game. Its connected fine to my mac and works in the Steam test window but once I load into the game it does not work at all. I've tried overriding the controller in CrossOver settings and a multitude of different settings combos in steam.
The one thing that did work was changing my configuration to Game Pad in Non-Game Controller Layouts in Steam. However, although the controller worked in game, the button mapping was horrible and unchangeable. I tried to go into Steam to map the buttons correctly but to no luck. Any suggestions?
Yeah, I'm literally using a PlayStation 4 controller with is direct input as an X input device. I don't know if the switch is capable of X input. Because that's an option that can be fixed on the controller menu on the crossover dashboard. See if it picks up the devie as x-input.
Will test in future , but it will be super coo to Play some PC shooting games with some Joy cons for sure. Right now
