New to crossover. Been playing the Steam (Intel/Apple) version Project Zomboid (PZ) on M3 Macbook Pro.
Running through Rosetta I get frame dips (30fps or below) every few minutes but with CrossOver (Steam/Winndows ver) it's much more stable no sudden dips.
The issue in CrossOver is really slow load times compared to the Apple version. Like 10-15 times slower.
Any general tips on improving CrossOver load times?? Disk access speed??
It's a decade old game still in Early-Access. Although it's 64-bit according to the Steam page it's not supported on M1/M2. It means it's not optimized for Rosetta either so the long loading times are due to that.
fast loading times in Rosetta / Apple version.
slow loading times in CrossOver / Windows version.
worse FPS in Rosetta
better FPS in CrossOver
I was hoping there were some known ways to speed up load times in CrossOver. Like it was a 'thing' but I can live with the slow load times if necessary.
