libgnutls.so.26 library i am unable to log into a secure site with i.e. 7

ok, that is not exactly true! I am able to log into myspace, i tried logging into my bank, but the system was temporarily unavailable, i can log into yahoo. my issue seems to be with netflix.com. i was attempting to install some unsupported sofware when i recieved the 'missing 32-bit libgnutls.so.26 error'. i am using ubuntu 8.04 and a synaptics package search for libgnutls shows that i have the following installed: libgnutls13, libgnutlsxx13 and python-gnutls. It should be noted that i can log onto netflix from i.e. six but not i.e. 7... and i have just upgraded to crossover 8.0.0. what actually happens is that i.e. 7 is actually attempting to download www.netflix.com/Login and it gives me and unexpected error message while in the background can see thhe download dialog for i.e. here is a screen shot if it helps at all: . also the crossover wineeserver is using about 690 mb of memory.
