Running into an issue with Overwatch 2 where the game won't launch on Crossover 24.0.5. Tried using version 24.0.4 and would get a wine debugger error saying "The program Overwatch.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Specific details: Unhandled exception: page fault on write access to 0x00006ffffdbff700 in 64-bit code (0x006fffffc50dd5). Is this only an issue with my Mac or is anyone else dealing with this issue?

Seems to be widespread after the latest Overwatch update (released yesterday). I have tried both the stable and preview versions, even recreating the bottles from scratch (both using Battle.net and Steam) but nothing works.

Hello, everyone. I'm experiencing an issue with Overwatch on Steam. The game appears to be running, but no window opens to actually launch it. I’ve reinstalled everything, but the problem persists. Other Steam games are working without any issues. Does anyone have a solution?

I’m having trouble launching Overwatch 2 on my Macbook M3 Pro using Crossover 24.0.5 and macOS 15.1. After clicking Play in Battle.net, it briefly changes to Playing Now, but then switches back to Update. Overwatch 2 shows as running in the background, but no game window appears.

I too have this issue. It says it's running but there is no window and no error.

Overwatch isn't playable anymore since the last update, the Battle.net launcher works as before but when you click on play it shows to be running in the background but you can't actually access it. Same thing goes for the steam version. Hoping on some help asap :(

I read on the macgaming discord that CW is looking into the issue. Does anybody have any info on whether or not they’re making any progress?

I faced a problem when launching the overwatch, the battle.net only ended up with 'update'.

With how many games are out there you can't expect every patch to work on every single game when it happens. And remember this one has a launcher they have to configure for. Expecting every patch to work right away, that's impossible. I don't know how they prioritize their development but to be on top of every game's patches is unrealistic remember WINE is a huge part of this software so then you have to wait for its developers to do what they do. I'm waiting for Diablo to get borked with a new patch some people are already having issues but when they get to it IMO.

Just always have other games to play and you will always be happy when it's time to game.
