Software that requires internet explorer 3.0 or newer to be present

i need to install 2 softs that complain that ie 3.0 or newer (or directly 6.0) is not present.

i tried installing ie6, but it made no diference.

is there any way to fool the software into thinking / understanding that ie6 is present ?

pd: its obviusly unsuported soft, i just need to see if i get any functionality at all, but i think i wont get far :P

What pieces of software are you trying to install? If we know how it's trying to find IE, we can work from there.

Do you have access to an old, old version of IE? You might give it a try.

Or... you may need to install IE6 prior to installing the unsupported software. Good luck!
