No menus with KDE 4.3.5 and 9.0.1

Hi.

I did a fresh install of Crossover 9.0.1 via the shell installer on 64bit Ubuntu 9.10 with KDE 4.3.5.

I get no menus. File associations are not working either. This leaves it just about unusable. I tried the suggestions in the support area http://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/CXOfficeKDE4Menus

Made no difference. I opened a support ticket, but it got closed with no comment.

So, my question is, how do I get Crossover to work with KDE 4? This seems to be an ongoing problem that is now getting really frustrating.

Thanks.

I know this thread is about KDE and all. But I am having the same problem on
Gnome. Crossover Office version 8.0 worked just fine. Version 8.0.3 does indeed work, but
there are no menus. Tis the most annoying thing. I have installed MS Office 2007 and some other programs that went into the Gnome menu just fine on 8.0, regardless of Linux distribution. But now they do not. In fact, no wine program (Crossover or regular Wine) shows up in the menu without manual editing. I have tried this on more than one distribution. I am currently using Mandriva 2010 with Gnome 2.28.

Is there a way I can get my Windows applications to show up properly in the Gnome menu? Or is there at least a workaround? I did try manual editing. But it was a pain for some of the Office files.

Nevermind;
I was able to add all of the programs manually into the Gnome menu.
It was a bit of a pain locating them, adding them, adding their icons, and then making
sure all was correct and functioning. But oh well. It looks nice.
