I'm trying to install soulstorm but it gives an error. Says program setup.exe has encountered a serious error. I've installed the program before and it installed fine now it won't. Any ideas?

Hi again have you followed my tips and tricks?
Alex
P.S. I had this issue and it was not fun :)
It is never easy to re-install a program and expect full functionality, unless you remove all traces of the previous files associated with the previous install. I would clearly suggest you run the command to seek out any instances of the old install and remove any findings, then try to re-install. It become easy doing this in a Windows environment using your registry editor, as that allows you to delete any traces of that particular program. In the Linux environmental, it is a little more complex. You must know the precise command for deletion and have administrative permission. [ sudo ] Also, investigate to see if there is an updated version to install. let me know your finding and I will research on my end what results were achieved.
But it won't run the setup.exe installer. I think maybe this time its the disk. I tried Morrowine and it installed fine. Also, how do I get rid of the empty bottles I have made?
Hmmm since I'm a noob there is much I don't yet understand. How would I do what you said about wiping out all instances. In windows I knew about the regeditor and used it a lot.

Ok i remember what i did but you wont like it :(
I had to create a new bottle and install all of the dawn of wars into it again :( (When i did this i installed them in order)
Alex
Ok do I uninstall Dark Crusade then create the new bottle and start again?
You dont have to since i presume you are just going to create a new bottle
Alex
P.S. if you want to delete bottles you go to manage bottles
