First, thumbs up using wine to run windows apps in Ubuntu. Second, if you want to knock a lot of bugs out of wine, run winamp, www.winamp.com, using wine in Ubuntu and compare it to winamp in Windows. There are a lot of obvious details that need to be worked out to smooth out the rough edges and make the wine better. Using winamp to test with will really help you fine tune wine as a product.... Remember, no wine before its time.
