Installation with CrossOver fails with the following error:
Setup has detected that the file 'C:\users\crossover\Temp\VSD2d35.tmp\DotNetFX472\NDP472-KB4054531-Web.exe' has changed since it was initially published.
See the setup log file located at 'C:\users\crossover\Temp\VSD2d35.tmp\install.log' for more information.
Not knowing anything about this application (or how you tried to install it), my only suggestion would be that you try to install .NET Framework 4.7.2 into a bottle first, using our crosstie. You can then try installing this application into that bottle and see if it works any better.
Thanks, that worked! It installed, however, after closing CrossOver and re-opening it, I'm not sure how to access/run the installed Windows application.
I see "Forge FHIR R4" listed under Bottles (which is what I named it), and I see "Run Command..." listed under programs when I select that bottle. But how do I access Forge which I just installed? Do I need to run the setup.exe installer for it every time I want to launch the app?
It sounds like the launcher just wasn't automatically created for you upon installation. To run the program, you can select "Run command...", then hit the "Browse" button in the Run Command pop up and navigate to the relevant .exe for your program. That will usually be located in drive_c > Program Files/Program Files x86 (depending on whether it is a 32 or 64-bit application) > folder named for the application. Once you select it, you can hit "Run" to just run the program once or "Save Command as Launcher" to create a launcher you can use in the future to run the program.
Best,
Meredith
