M1 Chip HL2 Deathmatch, CS Source and other games flickering textures

Hi currently running some games on the MBP with M1 Chip.
So for games like HL2 Deathmatch, CS Source etc (same engine) the textures are flickering.

See video footage ive uploaded on YouTube:

I've also tried some Direct3D tweaks in regedit which recommended by the Wine docs but without success.

Also tried different graphic options in game, windowed, fullscreen, low & high settings, v-sync, multi core rendering etc... but also no success.

It also happens with Hitman(tm) 2, the game runs perfect on first mission.
But on the other missions the graphics are totally messed up, looks like lines and triangles all over the place and then the game crashes or freezes.

DXVK is enabled, direct3d drivers, c++ redist, .NET all installed.

This might be an M1 chip issue? I've really no idea whats going on.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, the issue with HL2 Deathmatch and CS Source on m1 is a known issue. We do have a bug filed, but I'm not sure what the fix would be.

As for Hitman 2, I don't think any of the missions other than the first work well on Intel either. Unfortunately, I don't know of any workarounds.

Best,
Meredith

Ok clear, will wait for the fixes to come in :)

Just for the record I’m experiencing weird gray flickering textures in Skyrim SE, though the original game runs fine (though really slowly for such an old title.)

I’m not sure if this is the same issue, but I thought I’d mention it.

Hi Eric,

If you are also using an m1 chip, we believe we have a fix in place for CrossOver 21 for Skyrim SE.

Best,
Meredith

Are there any tweaks worth trying?

No, there are no tweaks for Skyrim SE with CrossOver 20 on m1. You'll need to wait for CrossOver 21, as it required a code change.

Meredith

Do we have an eta for CrossOver 21?

We plan to release this summer.
