Have MacBook Pro CTO i9 / 1TB / 5500M 8GB. I want to run World of Tanks. If I install it just using official launcher file, I get terrible fps even on minimum details (about 40 - 80 fps). When I use Bootcamp and run it with Windows, I have about 100 fps on high settings with improved graphics. But its pretty discomfortable to turn off laptop, select Windows just for one game. So I want to try and buy Crossover. I install the game, launch and whoala, I have about 180 - 200 fps with minimum settings. That is nice but somehow I cant change the graphic to "Improved", its greyed out, I cant click on it (using Windows Bootcamp or official launcher I can switch these settings and click on it). Its because I cant run it with D3DMetal but only with DXVK? Or I am missing something? Because if it works, I will buy CrossOver right now. Or it is because of 14 day trial?
*I was told that the game has most of the classic DXKV/MoltenVK low-utilization issues - lots of idle time due to mis-coordination between the CPU and GPU - as well as inconsistent frame rate due to how Wine/CrossOver presents data and pace frames.
The CPU and GPU look like they could do 2x+ this frame rate at native panel resolutions if properly optimized.
