After the upgrade to v21 from v20, NONE of my apps work anymore.. they just crash

Is anyone else having this issue?

Okay, it wasn't the CrossOver update that broke your bottles, it was your macOS update. Monterey is still in beta and isn't yet supported - see here for more details https://www.codeweavers.com/support/forums/general?t=27;forumcurpos=800;forumcurPos=0;msg=240166

We expect to have support for Monterey later this year, and will be posting updates to our blog periodically.

If you are having trouble with Crossover 21 and everything was working fine for you in Crossover 20, go back to Crossover 20.

If you are running the MacOS Monterey beta, go back to Big Sur unless you are a software developer or are being paid to test the new OS. There is no value in a beta OS to a normal human, it is a BETA which means it isn't ready for release yet. Don't be someone else's volunteer guinea pig and put your work (and play) at risk.

When Monterey is released, check the Codeweavers website announcements and forums to be sure that the current version of Crossover 21 has been updated to work with Monterey. If it has not yet been updated for Monterey, and you update to Monterey, you are going to lose the ability to use Crossover until Codeweavers releases the expected update. Codeweavers does expect to release that update before Monterey itself is released but you really ought to perform that check if the Windows software you run with Crossover is important for your daily life. Also, if Monterey doesn't have a new feature that you MUST have, don't install it the instant it becomes available, wait a few days at least or even a few weeks and let other people test it out for you.

And for whatever it's worth, I upgraded from Crossover 20.0.4 to Crossover 21.0 and all the Windows software that was running in Crossover 20.0.4 under Big Sur 11.5.1 continues to work well in Crossover 21.0 under Big Sur 11.5.1. In fact, there is one old game that works BETTER.

Not sure if others have noticed but most media keeps showing macOS Monterey beta and “how to install” guides, this could explain the recent influx of users all flocking to a beta OS.

You can download older versions of Crossover by following this link:
https://www.codeweavers.com/account/downloads/archive

Or you can restore v20.0.4 from your last backup. If you make backups. Which you should do.

Another alternative is renaming the older version aka CrossOver-20.0.4, I commonly do this during beta to ensure I have the older stable version along with what ever version I’m currently testing.
