I have a 2017 iMac with an external super drive for CD/DVD. I have a PC video game that requires for the installer CD to be inserted in order for the game to be played. The game uses one physical disc but when inserted it shows up on my desktop as 2 separate discs. One disc contains all the installer/setup/auto run exe files. The other disc only has one item an aiff audio file.
I use crossover to play the PC game on my iMac. At first the game would play without a glitch. Even after the elimination of 32 bit support the game still played. But now, although the game still opens it has slowed down.
My question: is there a way I can make a duplicate version of the game CD & make a software or USB flash drive version that will function the exact same way as the original CD?
