might you help to upgrade my version 11.0 up to latest 11.2.
my system is ubuntu 10.04 x32.
it's a business laptop so i would to avoid losing any mails or office work.

Normally, you just have to install the update as you would the original install, the files will be upgraded, and so will your bottles if needed. That's how I do it, and I it works fine.
Since yours is a business machine, you can do two things:
1) Back up your data, which should go without saying, on a regular basis. Even if a Crossover update wasn't involved, regular backups are an absolute necessity, in particular for business machines. Using Linux doesn't protect you against hardware failure and mistakes!
2) Back up your bottles with the archive function. That will ensure that you won't have to manually reinstall your software.
Being too carefull is hard to do!
