I have found that removing (completely) ClamXAV allows a number of formerly problematic games to start. I guess the 'belt and suspenders' approach to security is something I don't really need. A modicum of care and using a VM when hitting questionable sites seems to be the way to go.
Very good idea. Antivirus software is actually more harm- than helpful. You don't need it and it is actually a good way of disrupting the normal operation of your computer. Antivirus software is a scam.
