I just recently bought a Macbook. (13.3", 2.4ghz, MAC OS X operating system, w/2gb of ram). I am (or was) a pc user for many years and my favorite games are ones that require steam to play. (CS:S, TF2, HL2 etc.) I researched for a few days for a program that would enable me to play these and I think I have found it. But I am going to need a great amount of help. (I'm completly new to this obiously). I have downloaded "CrossOver" 30 day trial.(May need to purchase the Offical Version) If anyone could help me, It would be greatly appreciated. My email address is "skaterpeep@cox.net". Oh, and sorry if I am breaking forum rules
Hi,
For Steam you should use CrossOver Games. After installing CrossOver Games, click on the "install software" link in the welcome window, select Steam from the list and follow the installation wizard.
As long as you have a Mac with an Intel CPU, yes. All new Macs sold in the last 3 years have them, so you may only have problems if you bought an used PowerPC-based mac.
Please Note: This Forum is for non-application specific questions relating to installation/configuration of CrossOver. All application-specific posts to this Forum will be moved to their appropriate Compatibility Center Forum.
