Upgrade Crossover versions!

Hi, I have an older version of crossover mac, i think 6.2 or 6.3. I got it from a friend as a gift.

I have installed CSS, and the Orange Box. A lot of money.

However, it is having some problems with some games, and I was wondering...

If I get crossover games 7.0, and I have crossover mac 6.2 or 6.3, will I keep steam and all my games?
I would rather not lose them. And Is there a way to save those games? I do not want to spend another 100 dollars on games.

Thanks!

Of course you keep your games. They are linked to your Steam account, and after installing CrossOver Games you login to your Steam account and you have your games again.

You have to reinstall the games though. The easiest way is to just redownload them, but you can also play some tricks like backing up the bottle and restoring it in cxgame. It has been reported to work, but if you have problems with this and ask for support we'll first ask you to reinstall Steam in cxgames.

okay, just two more quick questions. thanks so much!

well ive looked everywhere, but im hoping that the hl2 glitch will be fixed in cx games right?
right now, it loads up, white screen, and then crashes. i dont even get to hear the sounds. however, i completed hl2 ep1 and hl2 ep2. and tf2 works. so does css. and portal. its just lost coast and hl2.

But for the main question, if i get a new computer, will steam let me download them again? mm. but I will definatley do that! thanks!!!

We currently offer an unsupported build to cxgames and cxpro customers which has this problem fixed. We are working on an updated release which will then be available as a demo to non-customers for trying it as well.

Yes, of course.
In general, I recommend you to contact Valve for help on CrossOver independent questions, since they know their software better than I do and can give a more qualified explanation.
