printing from coupons.com (or others)?

Has anyone tried printing coupons from one of the coupon sites? (like coupons.com).
It tries to install a windows only printer application and I was wondering if anyone had got that working
with Crossover.

thanks,
Christopher.

I too would like to know if anyone got this to work. Its one of the biggest reasons my wife uses Windows.

What is user agent and how do you have safari installed in opensuse. Isn't safari and Mac program? Please explain what you did.

Usually it is a browser extention which allows you to change what your browser reports to websites as to what it is and what it's running on.

For Firefox

For Chrome

Cool, I'll have to check that out. I thought you had to install special printer software. Thanks for the tip.

What did you do when it asked to install the mac printer program?

thanks.

I didn't have Safari as an option in my user agent so I tried Explorer. It let me see the coupons and download the printer program, but I could not in instal it.

As asked already, how did you install the printer program? Did you actually get the coupon to print or did you just get to the print screen?

Sorry for my last post user agent got me in to the site but did not print. I worked on this all day but no luck. I did find another site though it is smartsource.com similar site that works with native FireFox on linux it uses java and is a bit slow but I was successful in printing coupons.

Thanks for clarifying. Good to know about SmartSource. My wife uses that one too. At least thats one that works.

Coupon printing technology is supported on the following operating systems and browsers listed below:

Coupon Printing for Windows
Coupon printing is currently supported on the following Windows Operating Systems: Windows 7, Vista, XP, and 2000 -- when used with Internet Explorer 6+, Firefox 2+, Chrome, Opera, Safari, and most MSN and AOL browsers.

Coupon Printing for Macintosh
Coupon printing is currently supported on Macintosh OSX 10.4 or higher -- when used with Safari 2+, Firefox 2+, and Chrome browsers.

If you are unable to print when using an MSN, AOL, or Compuserve browser, please try printing your coupon using Internet Explorer or Firefox.
We appreciate your business and welcome the opportunity to serve you. If you need further assistance you may reach me by emailing socialmedia@couponsinc.com.

Greg- Please consider adding Linux to that list. Linux is becoming more and more common. And with major vendors writing game software for Linux, you can expect to see Linux market share grow in the near future. Thank you for your reply.

As of Coupons.com, they have switched to a Java client, however they don't support Linux, and may have useragent filtering.

Simply install a useragent spoofer in Linux.

As of other sites that use a ActiveX or nsplugin-type plugin you will likely want to use a browser under Crossover Wine. Your success will likely be mixed on this.
