I found Crossover because I wanted to run Fallout on Ubuntu 8.04, and whaddaya know? It worked!
F1 was more or less ok under Wine, but F2 was unable to load because of a spurious RAM size limit, and FT would not run at all, although Wine could start it.
On Crossover, F1 and F2 run fine (so far). Fallout Tactics loads differently because I had to buy a 3-in-1 DVD from someplace.co.uk, and I can't seem to get it fired up under Crossover. Can you run an app from CD without actually "installing" it the Crossover way?
You can try using the "run windows command" function to browse to the .exe file on the mounted CD itself with uninstalled applications.
