CrossOver supports DirectX 9, but unfortunately many drivers(ati Linux, MacOS drivers) do not. Thus it is disabled by default on Macs
MacOS supports the needed features in theory, but they're pretty buggy and cause crashes in many games. You can enable it by starting our registry editor and set HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/Direct3D/useGLSL = "enabled" and HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/Direct3D/offscreenRenderingMode = "fbo"
