Recently re-downloaded the trial of crossover games. I tried this a few months back, and it really failed for me (but I had an Intel chip on Linux, so it wasn't crossovers fault). This time round, I've had a hardware change and I'm now running on my Nvidia Geforce 6600LE - Guild Wars runs GREAT! Much happier this time, will almost certainly be getting myself a full license.
Me and a friend both want to play War Rock - We're both running crossover games, me on Ubuntu 8.04, him on Mac OS X Leopard. A quick Google on running War Rock on Crossover makes it look like it isn't doable. Has anyone managed to get it working on their system before? Or does the requirement of Punk Buster stop it working? Does Crossover successfully support Punk Buster?
Punkbuster doesn't work because it checks if the function preables in the DLLs crossover provides are equal to the ones on an original Windows installation. Unfortunately, it is CrossOver's nature that this is not the case. (PunkBuster performs those checks to detect hooks)
